Hi guys

I am totally in love with all of these products at the moment, I have been wearing these for the full month of May and think I will probably be wearing throughout June as well.
I have either been going with a neutral eye and red lip or a bold smokey eye and a nude/pink lipstick and these products have lasted all day with the help of my Urban Decay setting spray.

If I had to pick just one favourite it would be the Urban Decay revolution lipstick in Native. This is the creamiest, most hydrating and pigmented lipstick I own. It doesn’t bleed or smudge and lasts well on the lips. As its not matte it wont last for more than 2 hours but its easy to reapply. Another bonus is the fact that its quite nourishing and moisturising.

Good Things Manuka Honey Radiance Face Mask

Good Things Manuka Mask

Hi guys,

I recently went to boots for a little nosey around and see all the new summer collections that were available and this Manuka Honey Face Mask (£5.99) caught my eye (I’m not gonna lie, I only picked it up because of the bright colours!) As I normally make my own facemasks (see coffee and chocolate mask here) I don’t have any to hand if I just want a quick fix without all the mixing so this was right up my street as it had some bold claims and some gorgeous ingredients.

According to the company, this mask is supposed to help keep skin clear and hydrated while tackling the problems that can lead to skin ageing. It is also free from parabens, mineral oils & sodium laureth sulphate - BONUS!

When I came home I instantly wanted to try it out, so I washed all my make up off with my Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm (twice due to me wearing makeup) patted my face dry with a clean towel and then spread a thick layer of the face mask all over my face (avoiding my eyes, obviously)

The mask itself is very smooth, it has a greyish tint to it and is quite thick in consistency. The first thing I noticed was the smell which was delicious, it has a really strong honey scent to it which is amazing! It feels really luxurious on my skin due to the thickness of the product, it glides on easily and works into the skin perfectly. On application I didn't feel any tingling or burning sensations even though my skin can be quite sensitive at times.

After 10 minutes of pottering about on YouTube and playing Candy Crush I removed the mask with a clean face cloth and was happy that my skin didn't feel tight nor did I have any irritated patches on my skin. I followed this up with my normal skin care routine. I was very surprised at how smooth my face felt. It felt like a babies bum and my skin looked very healthy.

Good things also have a few other items available in their range and I will most definitely be buying the Deep Clean Blackhead Exfoliator (£4.99) the Deep Pore Anti Blemish Lotion (£4.99) and the Stay Clear Anti Blemish Cleanser (£4.99) as these are specifically made for oily skin and all have different scents!! I am excited to try them out and I will report back if they are love it`s or leave it`s.

Psssst.... My sister who has dry and sensitive skin used this product and noticed it tingled her skin quite a bit. She said it was a bit hard to take but after she washed it off she had the same results as me so i dont know if it just irritated her because her skin may be more sensitive than mine or if she was being a wuss! ha!

Skincare Routine | Current Morning Routine

Simple Kind to Skin Hydrating Light Moisturiser, Loreal skin perfection advanced correcting serum,
Loreal skin perfection 3 in 1 purifying micellar solution,
Superfacialist Vitamin C+ Brighten glow boost skin serum,  Mac Fix+ Spray, Hydraluron
Hi guys,

As I am a beauty blogger, I tend to change this up all the time as I am constantly trying new things but for the moment I am quite settled on this routine as it seems to be helping. I do have oily and sensitive skin but in the odd occasion I do feel quite dry on my chin and cheeks sometimes but that depends on the weather, if I have central heating on or if Aunt Flo is in town. I am using the below products in the morning to infuse my skin with some hydration after my cleansing step. Please remember to wash your face in the morning guys, even if you done a double cleanse the night before as you have been sweating all night and you don’t want to be a clatty bitch do you? Ha-ha.

  • L’Oréal Skin Perfection 3 in 1 Purifying Micellar Solution (£4.99) suitable for all skin types including sensitive skin. No alcohol, perfume or hypo allergens. This is a makeup remover, toner and overall skin soother. I don't use it to remove my make up, I just like use it as a mild toner. A very light product which is very similar to water.
  • Hydraluron (£19.99) my review can be found here.
  • Superfacialist Vitamin C+ Brighten Glow Boost Skin Serum (£10.99) I know this is another serum but I love it as it does make my skin seem a little less dull.
  • Nivea Crème (£1.39) this is the ultimate moisturiser for me! I use a little bit as its quite thick and can sometimes leave you looking a tad oily. This is gorgeous though as it gives hydration like no other product I have tried before.

OR

  • L’Oréal Skin Perfection Advanced Correcting Serum (£16.99) this is very light, absorbs really well and gives an overall lovely fresh feeling to the skin.
  • Mac Fix+ Spray (£14.50) this is a beautiful vitamin and mineral spray which is infused with chamomile, green tea, and cucumber. I just like adding more moisture where possible and this fits perfectly as the skin drinks it up and I feel it really makes a difference to my skin.
  • Simple Kind to Skin Hydrating Light Moisturiser (£3.99) I don't like anything too heavy to finish off my skincare routine when I am wearing makeup so this is perfect but for no makeup days I tend to stick to the Nivea Creme. This has a perfect blend of vitamins such as pro-vitamin b5 and vitamin E as well as borage seed oil (I have no idea!) I love this moisturiser, especially for the hotter months as its very light and very hydrating.
That’s all guys, I don’t go overboard with skincare as I don’t like to load my skin up with loads of products in case I break out.

Exam Stress

Exam Stress

Hello Lovelies,

I know the exam season is upon us and it can be very stressful, Jeez the mere thought can make even the most confident of folk become unbelievably nervous at the thought of sitting in an exam hall with nothing but your classmates, an adjudicator and the sound of a ticking clock but if you just push the panic away (I know, easier said than done) then you will be fine I promise.

I have my exams in 10 days for my HNC Accounts course and I am starting to get nervous but then I think, if I take a deep breath, just apply what I know and common sense then I should be fine. That might not be as easy as I hope as I haven't sat formal exams for years (I’m 28 remember, it’s been a long time since I was at school) but I always lay out a study plan and make sure I don't overdo it and overwhelm my brain.

Tips for studying:
  • DON'T PANIC!!! Take deep breathes, you will be fine!
  • Find something that calms you i.e. music, quiet room etc.
  • Set aside a few hours a day to study.
  • Take breaks throughout the day.
  • Eat and drink (You need fuel)
  • Go for a wee walk, run, or bath just to clear your head. You will always feel better.
  • If you have a lot of reading to do, start with one thing. Highlight any important bits. Rewrite your answer for any questions you think may be coming up, Your teacher should supply a little “might come up” list. Once you start to answer in your own words and cutting it down, you will soon remember buzz words which will really help you.
  • Keep doing examples until you are bored! This should become second nature.
  • Don’t overwhelm yourself.
Studying

Tips for the exam:
  • Get everything out that you will need i.e. Calculator, pens, pencils, tip-ex, rubber, pencil sharpener etc.
  • Take a good 5 minutes to read the question and highlight any important bits.
  • The worst thing to do is to let the panic blindness kick in, you will sit there for a long time worrying about nothing and you only have an allocated time frame to get this exam finished. Take a deep breath and think to yourself that you have learned all of this stuff already, you know it! The exams aren't there to trip you up or trick you, they are there to make sure you understand what you have learned.
  • Put a little star next to whatever questions you aren't too sure of and move onto the next one. You can always come back to these.
  • If you have practical and theory questions, pick what you want to do first. I would normally choose the theory first to get it out of the way! (I'm an accounts student so the written part is my worst nightmare)
  • When you have finished doing the questions you are confident with, you will probably be in "the zone" so go back and read the questions you weren’t too sure off and you will surprise yourself and be able to answer them.
  • Read over everything you have done, make sure there aren’t little mistakes. Fix anything you are not happy with. Add in anything you may have just remembered!
  • Now… You are finished :)

I don’t want to put you off but if you do worse than you thought, you always have a resit so there is no point making yourself sick with worry! Do the best you can and you may surprise yourself!!!

Last but not least, Good Luck! I wish you all the very best.

Sephora Are Shipping To The UK!!!

Sephora Are Shipping To The UK
Source
Hi guys,

I'm just gonna put it out there, I am a massive beauty addict. My makeup and skincare collection is borderline obsessive and I spend any spare cash buying the latest product. It is getting a bit out of control though as I’ve taken over my 2nd bedroom with all things beautiful, but do you know what, I’m not even ashamed of it!

For this reason I am beyond happy that Sephora are now shipping to the UK *inserts excited face here*. I always hear the American Youtubers talking about Sephora hauls and I am jealous that I can’t get over there. I know the UK used to have one back in the day but it didn’t perform well and they took it away but I think we deserve it back goddamn it!

For all of you who don’t know what or who Sephora are, they are a huge beauty retail store and they have everything a beauty addict could ever imagine with a vast choice of brands to choose from including brands we are unable to get in the UK like Tarte Cosmetics, Makeup Forever, Sephora`s own brand (lipsticks are meant to be awesome) and Koh Gen Doh.

Sephora In The UK
Source

The website itself is very easy to use, they have everything spread out into nicely presented categories so you will be able to find what you are looking for in no time, unless of course you’re like me and wander through it for hours instead of studying or doing the housework!! The skincare IQ section is particularly interesting as they help you narrow down your selection of skincare products after you answer a few questions.

The shipping costs aren't for the faint hearted but if you and some friends chip in then it will take the fees down a little. They also add on all taxes, shipping and handling fees when you are checking out so look out for the price change at the checkout.

A little FYI.... Check online in the UK first on Space NK, Selfridges, Harrods, Cult Beauty, Debenhams, House of Fraser and Net a Porter first if you are only looking for a certain brand as you may be surprised to find it there. If you want a brand exclusive to Sephora then split any charges between a group of friends as I said previously and choose some of the cute little samples offered at the checkout.

I have to say, I know we have a wide range of department stores and shops over here in the UK for beauty products but having a one stop shop for all things beauty just excites me and it should excite you too!
