After a harrowing week last week, I lost all my uni work from my pen drive and laptop including my dissertation and an essay, i've decided to chill today. No need to worry though as I managed to get some of my dissertation notes from my supervisor who I thankfully emailed a couple of days before but I had to start my essay from the beginning again which annoyed me as it was almost finished! A break is very much needed ha-ha.

Lush Christmas Haul 2016
I went a little nuts in Lush a few weeks ago, as you do, and bought almost everything they had, I was only in for a birthday and Christmas gift and instead, I ended up with a fully stocked bathroom ha-ha. I do love Lush and their Christmas range is always on point so I picked myself up a lot of bath products as well as a few face masks to combat my oily/sensitive skin at this time of year. I wanted to buy products I hadn’t tried previously so these are the ones I went for in the end.

Jeffree Star | Mannequin & Rose Matter
| Unicorn Blood, Mannequin, Rose Matters and Celebrity Skin |
Hi guys,
I picked up a few more vegan friendly Jeffree Star Liquid Lipsticks ($18) a while ago when there were new releases and also a restock of
some extremely popular shades. I bought Rose Matter and Mannequin as they were
the new shades but I didn’t bother with any other ones as I already had them in
my collection.
I know there has been a lot of heat on
Twitter when it comes to Jeffree Star, and I thought long and hard about putting this post up but I came to the conclusion
that I love these products and felt the need to share my views.
As I said on my previous post, these are
the best liquid lipsticks I have ever used as they don’t dry out my lips too badly compared to other brands, they
are the most pigmented products I have ever used and the staying power is just
incredible. I would wholeheartedly recommend everyone try them out at some
point, especially if you are a liquid lipstick lover who likes a full on matte
finish. How I wear them is by scrubbing my lips with a sugar scrub such as this
or a homemade one, apply lip butter like this, line my lips with a similar
colour and then apply this. It stays put pretty much all day and I have no
problems with bleeding or smudging. If I leave the lip butter on, the lipstick doesn't last as long though so be wary of that if you try this technique.
Rose Matter is a soft neutral coral
which is perfect for spring/summer season. I can’t say I 100% love this shade
as I am not a big coral fan but if you are then you will love this. Like
Unicorn Blood and Celebrity Skin, it is very watery and goes on opaque. One
swipe from the doe foot applicator is plenty as it is super pigmented. It dries
completely and lasts really well until you have something oily and then it
starts to come off. This is a known fact about all of the lipsticks in Jeffree’s
line, it’s something we have to deal with I’m afraid.
Mannequin is a cool toned nude which is
darker than the shade I’m Nude but lighter than Celebrity Skin so if you didn’t
like the look of those, this should be right up your street. I love this shade,
sometimes Celebrity Skin feels a little darker and grungy and even though I am
all about grungy lips sometimes I want to go for a softer lip especially if I
go for a full on smokey eye.
This was the first time I purchased
straight from Jeffree’s website as I bought from Beautylish previously. I wont be
buying direct again as I was hit with a £12.92 custom charge from Royal Mail
which seemed extreme for lipsticks that cost a few pounds more. I will also be
keeping a close eye on Cocktail Cosmetics as they are the official company in
the UK for JS. The only issue I have is the fact that all of the lipsticks are constantly sold out so you have to keep and eye on his twitter and instagram for updates, he is on the ball with this and lets you know instantly.
If you love your liquid lipsticks to go
on easily, pigmented and comfortably then these are definitely for you. If you
want something that dries quickly and lasts all day/night, these are for you.
If you want something that won’t break the bank and is an all-round fabulous
product, these are 100% for you!

Bath Time With Pretty Suds
![]() |
![]() |
Hi guys,
Well, its that time of the year again where we get the cake out, the candles out and we turn another year older. Yes, its my birthday and I have finally entered my 31st year. This is actually scarier than turning 30. I dont know why but it feels weird. I'm not going to do a whole, "What My Goals Are" speech cause lets face it, I wont stick to it. I do know that I am doing my Honours this year so I will have hopefully finished that by the time I reach 32. But as far as anything else goes, I'm pretty much open to suggestions. Enough of me rabbiting on eh?
You know by
now that I am a Lush fiend and I have not found a company who can rival them. Until
now. Pretty Suds is a family run business headed up by the lovely Chloe where all products are handmade. All products are vegetarian with most of them being vegan as well but please check ingredients list if this is something you are keen to know. I decided to buy quite a bit as I was running low on bath
bombs and all of the ones on her website looked amazing. It was quite difficult
to narrow it down as you can imagine as the home page is filled with loads of tempting delights. I eventually settled
on Sunny Side Up & Juliet’s Kiss which are bath bombs, Starry Night
& Water Malone which are bubble bars and some Wax Melts along with an Oil
Burner. After receiving the package, I wish I bought more.
First things
first, Sunny Side Up (£5), how freaking adorable is this packaging. When I
first got the parcel I was shocked at the scent coming through the box. It was bursting with the most incredible fragrance. Liam actually took the parcel from the postman and starting tearing his way into
it as it was so intoxicating. We both opened the egg carton as if it were diamonds
inside, I’m not joking. We are both a little dramatic ha-ha. Anyway, the smell
from each and every one is incredible. There are 6 mini colour bombs in total to give you a sense of what the company have to offer so its a great way to get to know Pretty Suds. These are a charity product so this month is celebrating the LGBT community and PS will be donating 50p from every box sold to the LGBT foundation. I have used 2 from this carton and they
are not playing around. Even though they are quite small they pack a serious
punch and leave your bathroom smelling incredible, even after the water
disappears.
Water
Malone, the watermelon bubble bar was the only reason I found out about Pretty Suds. I saw it on Instagram and instantly needed it. I was a little apprehensive about this one as I
wasn’t sure it was going to give off a great aroma but I bought it anyway and
was pleased to find out I was wrong. The scent is so incredible that it nearly
brought tears to my eyes (I told you I was dramatic). No in all seriousness
though, it was beautiful and created the most perfect bubbles. I loved how soft
my skin felt once I had dried myself off and I also loved the fact that I could
smell this on my skin the morning after which is very rare. Once I
was in the shower, I wished I had a shower gel that smelled like this as it
really is amazing. Sorry, I cant find a link to this on their website so I dont know if they have taken this off the market or what.
Starry Night
is the stand out for me. It is a serious contender for all-time favourite bath
product and I mean it would beat even Lush`s best product (find my top 10
here). This has a very fruity scent which I wasn’t expecting at all. It gives
off scents of sweet apple, pear, mandarin and raspberry. It is quite hefty too
as it’s about 130g, so you could easily get about 4 baths out of this. Not too
bad in my opinion. The bubbles this babe produces is intense, honestly, I crumbled
in a little bit to see how it fared and my bath was gorgeous. As with the Water
Malone bubble bar, I was left with silky soft skin which smelled like a dream.
I had Liam saddled up beside me all night when I used this the first time as he
just wanted to smell me ha-ha, I don’t know if that’s creepy or sweet. Sorry, I cant find a link to this one either.
Juliets Kiss (£2.95) is simply stunning. If you are a girly girl who loves sweet floral scents, then this is the one for you. This boasts the gorgeous scents of jasmine, violet and peony and also has rose petals captured inside the bath bomb which just gives a whole new meaning to a romantic bath doesn't it. This does exactly what you can imagine, it leaves your skin feeling super soft, you feeling relaxed and lets you drift away to the romantic setting of your choice. If you and your partner like to bathe together, I would suggest using this one as it is very romantic.

I haven't used my wax melts yet as I am
using some Yankee Candle ones at the moment but as soon as I do, I will update
you. I'm sure they will be great though as they smell incredible through the
packaging.
All in all, these products are amazing.
I got everything I was expecting from a great bath product and more. The
overall design of each product is brilliant and the aroma from each bath bomb
from the packaging straight through the scent left on your skin afterwards is
unlike anything I have tried before. I do suffer from sensitive skin as you may or may not know and I didn't have any issues with these products but you may have to carry out a skin test before using if you are scared of breaking out. The only issue I have now is, what ones
will I choose next??

Hi guys,
I bought the gorgeous Zoella range from
Feel Unique on the day it was released as I was so excited to try it out. I already caught a glimpse of her video detailing the new range and as Zoella herself said it was her favourite, I knew I had to try it out. I was slightly disappointed
in the first round of products as I felt the fragrance was pretty non-existent
and I wasn’t too keen on the tutti fruitti range after giving it a quick sniff
in Superdrug but there was something about Sweet Inspirations that made me
wanna buy everything.
First off, the packaging is the cutest I
have ever laid my eyes on. It’s clean, crisp, fresh, girly and better yet,
pastel. Who doesn’t love a pastel packaged bath product! I didn’t order
everything from the range as I only wanted certain things but I am happy with
what I chose.
Bath Latte (£6)
Okay, I admit, I only bought this due to
the milk bottle design. It could have been anything, but I knew I needed it.
Once I popped that gold foil cap, I poured straight into my bath under some running water. The immediate hit of sweet almond, cacao & honey was too much to handle. It was simply stunning.

I love that this can be used as a bubble
bath and a shower gel, which is exactly how I used it. I poured a little bit in
my bath which created the most beautiful bubbles. I then poured a little onto
my sponge and lathered onto my skin. I loved the overall fragrance of the bath latte as well as how soft it left my skin feeling and I also loved that I could smell this product on my skin all through the night. A must have.
Le Fizz (£5)
Once opened, this looks like a large chocolate bar. If you have tried the original, which I didnt like at all, then you will notice it is much larger in size. I
was pleased that this carried a deeper scent and didn’t disappear after a few
minutes unlike the original product. The macaroon scent is gorgeous and the tabs dissolve quickly. Not
much to say about this other than 4 – 6 blocks will give you an incredible bath
experience.
I have to say, I was expecting some
pretty amazing things with this body lotion due to it being a best seller but I
couldn’t get on board with it. I felt it took too long to work into my skin, regardless
of the amount used, and when I put it on at night, I awoke with the most
horrific odour. I normally put on moisturisers at night as I like to have a
bath at night-time and I have never experienced an odour like that. It smelt
quite fusty. I wouldn’t buy this again.
I love the design of this little beauty,
it so pretty. These are pretty self-explanatory, they are bath salts. I used a
handful of these with a few blocks of Le Fizz and my bath was incredible. I didn’t
notice much in the form of softer skin or anything but my bath was pretty
relaxing and my bathroom filled with the beautiful scent almost immediately and
lasted pretty well.
I love this, not to wear everyday as it’s
a tad too sweet for my taste but I can’t deny that it’s gorgeous. This would be
perfect for your little sister, cousin, niece etc. but sadly it’s not an
everyday scent for me. The scent fades pretty quickly for the £8 price tag. Once I sprayed, I found that it completely disappeared after an hour or so. I
know it’s not a perfume but if I wore this out, I would expect it to last
longer than an hour.
All in all, a gorgeous range due to its impeccable
scent. I would buy all of the bath products again as they are beautiful.
Wouldn’t bother so much with the body mist and wouldn’t buy the body crème again
as sadly, they weren’t for me. If like me, you didn’t like the original scent,
please try this out as you will be pleasantly surprised. If you have loved all of the Zoella Beauty scents, then you will favour this one, trust me.

Hi
guys,
Hopefully
you have all been made aware of the new Jaclyn Hill Champagne Collection which
was created by Jaclyn and Becca Cosmetics. As soon as I knew this was a
thing, I put an alert in my diary, worked out what time it would be on sale
according to UK time and kept a close eye on social media to get
little sneak peaks before the official launch. I have honestly never been more
excited for a makeup collection in all my life.
If
you don’t know who Jaclyn Hill is, she is
a makeup guru on YouTube who launched the world’s number 1 highlighter, Champagne Pop (£32),
last summer which sold out almost instantly. Jaclyn is known as the highlight
queen within the YouTube world so it was only right that she launched her first
highlighter with, in my opinion, the company behind the best highlighters on
the market. If you haven’t tried any of the Becca highlighters, you are missing
out, seriously! Please buy one, you will not regret it. I have Opal, Champagne
Pop and Pearl and they are by far the best I have ever used. They are the most
gorgeous, buttery, pigmented, creamy and unique highlighters on the market and
worth every penny. I have a guide to highlighters post which you can find here if you wanna see some swatches.
This
new collection blew up on social media when it was first announced so you can
imagine all of us beauty obsessed folks trying to find out as much information
as possible. Within this new collection is the following: Limited Edition Face Palette (£48/$52), Limited Edition Eyeshadow
Palette (£36/$40) and Shimmering Skin Perfector Champagne Pop in Pressed (£32/$38), Liquid (£34/$41), and
Poured Crème (£30/$38)! I already have the pressed Champagne pop so I knew I
didn’t want to buy this again as I am nowhere near finished that. I wasn’t too
fussed about the liquid or poured crème versions so I went straight for the
thing that would get the most use and that was the LE Face Palette. So on the
26th May 2016 from 4.30pm, I sat and refreshed the Sephora
screen until the “add to basket” tab opened up which was at 4.45pm. I then
frantically went through the stages of purchasing it, forgot my password, kept
typing in the wrong information but after a couple of minutes it was over and
done with. I was over the moon when I got my confirmation email to say it had
all gone through and would be with me by 31st May. I bought it
for £59 with shipping and taxes included but after a few days I got an email to
say this had been reduced to £49, BONUS!
I
know that the face and eye palettes are sold out online, I have included links to the liquid, creme and powder variartions of Champagne Pop above but all items will be available from 16th June
on Sephora website and in store so you have plenty of time to save your pennies
and get in there. It will be available from SpaceNK too as of the 21st June which you can pre order here. You can also pre
order the Eyeshadow Palette here. The eyeshadow palette has been taken off of the website due to recent negative reviews with regards to Becca Cosmetics using a different lab to make sure they met the deadline. Jaclyn has also taken her YT video down where she discussed all products in her latest collaboration as she was angry and hurt that everything wasn`t tested. Check out her twitter here for more information. I dont know if this is going to be everywhere or just in Sephora. But if you are un happy with your palette, then you need to contact Becca or Sephora.
As
I said previously, the only thing I bought from the collection was the
limited-edition Champagne Collection Face Palette which features five shades in
total. There are 2 x 0.19 oz. Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed highlighter
shades in Champagne Pop (soft white gold with pinky peach undertones), Prosecco
Pop (medium warm gold). 2 x 0.12 oz. Mineral Blush in Amaretto (matte toasted
almond), Pamplemousse (matte warm coral pink) and 1 x 0.10 oz. Luminous Blush
in Rosé Spritz (soft peachy pink with pale gold shimmer). This palette is
Paraben, Sulfate and Phthalate free. I think we can all agree, that is a lot of product for the price tag. I think its valued at over $130 or something ridiculous like that. It also comes with a huge mirror too so its easy to pop in your bag and use when you want to touch up your makeup.
It
does say you can mix and match but there is only 2 pinky shades, a contour shade
and 2 highlighters so I don’t think there is much room to mix and match as
such. Each powder within the palette is what I would expect from Becca to be
honest. They are all highly pigmented, they are buttery soft, they feel creamy,
they blend out beautifully and they look fricking amazing! I imagine they would
suit all skin tones as they seem to be universally flattering shades.
I
am in awe of this palette. I think I may have to buy the Eyeshadow Palette from
SpaceNK when it’s released or ask Liam to buy it as an early birthday present.
Either way, if it’s anything like this face palette it will be phenomenal.
If
you want this palette or the eye palette, I would suggest getting in there
early as they are limited edition which means when they are gone, they are
gone!

Soap & Glory Shower Jellys | Clean On Me and Sugar Crush
I love Soap and Glory as much as the next person but I get
uncontrollably excited when I see new releases as I know they are going to be
amazing.
If you love the Sugar Crush scent as much as I do then you are
going to love this shower jelly in the same scent as it does not disappoint. I
actually find myself just sniffing the body wash when I am lying in
the bath or having a quick whiff of the body butter that sits beside my bed every
time I need a quick fix so having this shower jelly perched up in my shower
keeps the addiction going strong ha-ha. Anyway, enough about my extra-curricular
activities and more about these products. There are only two scents in the Soap
and Glory Shower Jelly Range (£5.50) which is, yes you guessed it, Sugar Crush and the
original g, Clean On Me.
These jellys are exactly that when it comes to the texture.
They are quite thick and you have to squeeze the tube firmly to get a decent
amount out. I lather this into my skin and rub until it becomes creamy which I then wash off. The only issue I have is the product is very slippery
and half of it falls off my hands before ive even applied it to my body so you
need to work quickly. I have started to rub between my hands first and then
apply to body but its still the same tbh.
The scents on both of them are quite strong so your
bathroom/shower room fills up quite quickly with the girly aromas. Liam has
completely fallen in love with the Sugar Crush one and has almost used an
entire tube by himself so if you have a boyfriend/husband who likes to use up
your products, I would hide these as they will be gone in a week!
The packaging and coloured gel is fun, cute and nothing short
of what we have come to expect from S & G products. They leave my skin
smelling amazing, feeling soft and summery, especially Sugar Crush. For £5.50
each, I don’t think it’s a ridiculous price but I suppose you could always buy
Original Source which is equally amazing but for a little extra, why not treat
yourself to these, especially Sugar Crush as it is a stand-alone scent.
All in all, they are fabulous, I highly recommend.
