Hi
guys,
As
you know my mum bought me a Boots gift card for my birthday so obviously I had
to spend it straight away. While I was out and about I decided to check out the
aisles in Boots to see what goodies were on offer and I have to say, the girl
done good! I bought some new items which I’ve not tried before and some well-loved
items so I thought I would share it with you. I have included some items I
recently bought from the body shop and House of Frasers too just to amp up the
volume on this haul post.
1. Sanctuary Spa 5 minute Thermal Detox
Mask (£10) - Lily Pebbles has a lot to answer to, she is
an enabler and has made this mask sound like a dream so obviously I had to pick
up a tube. I do love a thermal mask, remember the Avon heating mask from back
in the day? Anyway, this particular one sounded appealing as it is made for
oily and congested skin which promises to draw out impurities, rebalance the
skin and also sooth & calm. I’m excited.
2. Eucerin Dermo Purifier Active
Concentrate (£9) - I haven’t heard of this brand before so
I was keen to try it out after it said it would help blemish prone and oily
skin. This is oil and preservative free too which is added bonus. It has the
consistency of a serum so I think I will use after my toning stage and before
my moisturiser so I get the benefit of it absorbing into my skin. I also
updated my moisturiser with the Garnier 24hr Hydrating Day Cream with
Rose Water as I have ran out and been meaning to pick up a new one. This
is budget friendly compared to my normal Origins Ginseng Moisturiser which
retails for £23.
3.
L’Oréal Studio Line Texture Styling Volume Supersizing Spray - I used this
at my friend’s house and thought it was the bomb.com. I loved the instant lift
it gave my hair so I had to buy this.
4.
Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser – I saw Maybelline were offering
a "buy 1, get 1 half price" offer so I picked this up along with my
favourite mascara, Maybelline The Falsies Volume Express Mascara in Black. As I
have larger pores on my nose, forehead and chin I really need a primer to
smooth over those areas and this looks as though it might work.
5.
Revlon Colourburst Matte Balm in Elusive - I haven’t tried this before but
I know it is very popular amongst other bloggers so I decided to give it a
bash. I`m glad I bought this actually as it’s gorgeous, it’s a lovely pink
shade that’s has a slight minty taste to it and it also glides on like butter.
Highly recommend.
6.
Soap & Glory Love At First Blush - I have wanted to try this for the
longest time as I love blushers with different shades running through them and
as this contains a subtle highlighter too I think it is gonna be a winner.
7.
Barry M Gelly Shine Nail Polish in Papaya and Sugar Apple - I have a
problem, I have to pick up a nail polish whenever I shop, it’s like a rule.
Obviously Barry M are geniuses when it comes to colour, formula and price so
when I noticed these Gelly Shines I had to buy em. They wear beautifully and
these particular colours are gorgeous for summer. I normally get a good 4 to 5
days with a base and top coat so good value for money I think.
8.
Body Shop Blueberry Range - The Body Shop had such an amazing sale on that
it was a crying shame not to buy something. I bought the body butter, gelee
scrub and a lip balm for £13 which is the normal price for the body butter. The
smell of the range is good enough to eat, I mean it ha-ha, I wouldn’t recommend
it but you will feel the urge. I have tried this a few times and leaves my skin
silky soft and smelling great. The lip balm isn’t great if truth be told, I
feel as though it’s quite hard and does nothing for my lips at all with regards
to keeping them hydrated. I especially love the gelee scrub though
as it looks exactly like a blueberry jam and smells like one too. It works into
the skin perfectly and doesn’t cause any irritation. The only problem is the
residue in the bath tub afterwards.
9.
Bobbi Brown Longwear Gel Eyeliner in Black Ink - I am not a gel eyeliner
lover if I’m honest but this one really grabbed my attention. I have tried it a
few times and the colour payoff is ok but I don’t think I like it as much as a
liquid liner. It looks a bit patchy at times on my lash line which means I end
up using a black eyeshadow to fill in any gaps and to make it stay put for
longer. Definitely won’t be repurchasing.
10.
Chanel Rouge Coco Shine Lipstick in Boy - I bought this from HoF as I was given
a money off voucher due to them messing up an order I previously put through so
I thought I would splurge and buy this lipstick that I have been perving over
for a few months. This is the most gorgeous nude shade I have in my collection
and probably the most beautiful I have tried. It gives just enough colour to
show you have something on the lips but it isn’t over the top at all. As it’s
not matte it comes off quite easily so don’t expect this to last long at all.
It gives a sheen finish making your lips look quite glossy without the annoying
stickiness. Even though it’s a sheen lipstick, it isn’t at all hydrating so I
tend to pop on some lip balm or butter before I apply which normally helps.
I don’t think I will be buying anything
for a long time after that not so little haul as my debit card couldn’t take it
ha-ha. I hope you enjoyed that post guys and I will speak to you all very
soon.

The Revlon Matte balm in elusive is one of my all time faves!! It's such a beautiful shade and so easy to wear... Plus you can put it on when you're out and about without needing a mirror... It doesn't get much better then that :) xo
ReplyDeleteTotally!! I swatched all of them but elusive stood out for me. No word of a lie, i put this on in the morning, ate a burger for lunch and had water throughout the day and it was still on my lips. Lasted a good 3-4hrs before i had to reapply! Amazing product xx
DeleteLove the revlon matte balm! they are always messed up in the store so I can never buy one :(
ReplyDeleteThanks for the commet huni! U should ask the staff if they have any in the stock room, everytime i ask they are more than happy to help as they want ure custom. As i said on twitter, i hate when people dont swatch the testers but rather open up a brand new product! Its disgusting xx
