Mac Viva Glam | Miley Cyrus

Hi guys

As we all know, MAC have been doing their rounds with some of the big celebrities out there. So far we`ve had collaborations with RuPaul, Nicki Minaj, Cyndi Lauper, Lady Gaga, Dita Von Teese, Rihanna, Kelly & Sharon Osbourne and Brooke Shields to name a few so it didn’t surprise me when the next celebrity on their list was unveiled as Miley Cyrus. Most of these celebrity launches have been a collaboration with Mac, others have been for the Viva Glam campaign which raises money for Mac`s HIV/AIDS fund.

Miley has certainly made an impact over the past couple of years as we`ve watched her blossom from the sweet Hannah Montana to the wild child she seems to be now known as. I`m not judging her at all, I think every teenager goes through a similar faze but we aren't in the public eye and we certainly won’t have footage of us all over the internet for everyone to see for the rest of our lives will we! Or will we? You never know with social media these days.

The launch was described as a noisy launch with the slogan “Wham! Bam! VIVA GLAM! and let me tell you, it certainly makes its presence known. I only bought the Lipstick (£15.50) which is a hot pink, amplified crème lipstick that packs a serious punch. The colour payoff is just phenomenal and glides on the lips like butter. As always the packaging is gorgeous and has a hot pink and black design which you can see from the above pictures.

I always try to buy something from a Viva Glam launch as the full R.R.P excluding V.A.T from the sale goes towards helping women, men and children everywhere affected by HIV/AIDS. This is such an important matter and every little helps with this cause. My absolute favourite Viva Glam launches have to be the original RuPaul and obviously the gorgeous Rihanna but I would like to see someone like Jennifer Lopez, Beyoncé or Emma Stone bring something new to the campaign.
