This Weeks Most Loved | Post #6

Robin Williams
Goodnight Chief

Hi guys, how are we all?

Its time again for another weekly loves post, but somehow it doesn’t feel appropriate considering we have lost a comedic genius. If you haven’t already heard, then the great Robin Williams sadly passed away. I have been far too upset to read too much into it and have instead, spent my days watching his films. I know you may think it’s a little extreme for me to feel like this considering I don’t know the guy but I have watched Robin Williams in movies for as long as I can remember and I feel as though I grew up with him in my life. I do understand suicide was an issue here, again, I don’t know too much but please, please, please speak to someone if you feel yourself going down this path. There are always people who will listen to you and try to help as much as they can. I know we all like to think it may come in the form of family or friends but sometimes it comes from a stranger on the other end of a phone or by any other means. I don’t want this post to get too deep as I know not everyone is here for that reason but please speak to someone instead of taking this route.

I haven't really been loving a lot this week to be fair as I said due to me lazing around watching movies all day but the things I have been reaching for when I’ve needed to get out my pit are some old products that I forgot I had to be honest. Let’s dive straight in shall we.

1. Chanel Soleil Tan De Chanel Bronzer (£31) - This has been keeping me looking rather sun-kissed over the past week which has kept me very happy since it’s been very gloomy here in Glasgow. I have loved this for a very long time but as the same as most beauty bloggers i tend to move onto other products to test them out and forget about all my past greats. I love the subtle colour this gives to my face which doesn't make it look too "done up" especially if i want a natural finish with some concealer, bronzer, blusher, mascara and a tinted lip balm. In love...again!

2. Nail Polish Free Nails - My nails have been such a problem over the past couple of months so i decided to clear off the nail polish and just focus on getting my nails back to a normal state again. I have actually forgot how nice it is just to apply some hand & nail cream and leave them to breathe to be to be honest! If you have any suggestions on what can make my splitting nails come back to life please let me know in the comments below.

3. Hand Food by Soap & Glory (from £2.50) - Since I’ve kept the nail polish off i have been packing on the hand cream and the one I have been reaching for the most is obviously Hand Food. This has always been a trusty companion but i have noticed my hands looking ever so slightly better and they feel like a dream!

4. Anna Jones: A Modern Way to Eat - I bought this cookbook for my kindle and i swear it hasn’t left my kitchen! I have tried out a few of the recipes and i have to say i am pleasantly surprised at how tasty the food is. As I’ve said before i am really conscience of what I’m putting in my body now so i really like having meat free days or just having a vegetarian meal for dinner which doesn’t make me feel sluggish. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who is already vegetarian or who would like to try some healthier and tastier veggie dishes as these are beautiful, i especially loved the avocado and zest of lemon spaghetti... mmmmhhmm!

5. A Lovely Side Project - Ever since i found Lauren on bloglovin i have been obsessing over her recipes. Every day for breakfast or lunch i have had one of her delicious juices which I’ve changed into a smoothie as i like them better but oh-my-gosh they are amazing. I would suggest heading over to her blog to check her out, she also blogs about beauty and fashion so she incorporates a lot into her posts.

6. Jack & Good Will Hunting - These are 2 of my all-time favourite films as they remind me of special times when i was younger so I wanted to include them in my weekly favourites. As I said, I have been watching Robin Williams’s movies again this week ever since i heard the devastating news.
If you haven’t seen either of these, then Jack is about a 10 year old boy who has an ageing disorder making him look 40 years old. This is a beautiful film, wasn't such a smash at the box office but I loved it. Good Will Hunting was written by Ben Affleck and Matt Damon which is about a young arrogant Boston man who is maths genius. This is a must see movie, all the actors are amazing in it but I especially love RW as you didn’t get to see that acting side of him very often.

Robin Williams was such a great actor and he will be missed dearly.
My thoughts go out to his family and friends.
Goodnight Chief

  1. I really enjoyed reading this post! Chanel's soleil tan de Chanel is my all time fav bronzer- I wear it nearly every day! And that cookbook sounds fab.. I've been debating going veggie for some time now so I may have to invest in this to give me some mealtime inspiration :)
